In May 2010, he intends to graduate with the Integrated Bachelor/Master of Architectural Engineering degree, with a focus in structural systems. Andres will also receive a Minor of Architectural Studies which he attained through the "Sede di Roma" program over the summer of 2008. After graduating, Andres will gain EIT status and begin his career in structural engineering at CenterPoint Engineering, Inc. in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. This past summer, Andres worked as a structural intern with Structural Design Associates in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he was able to gain valuable experience in the structural engineering realm of the building industry. Under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, Andres was challenged to confront real life structural design and analysis issues. In past years, he also worked as an architectural intern for the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. He hopes to take this collaborative experience with him in his career where he feels knowing how to work effectively in a team will prove to be invaluable. In his free time, Andres also serves the local community though Habitat for Humanity and the international community through an organization at PSU known as Mission Mexico for which he is the current president.
